Country Garden Pleasures

I have many country garden pleasures.
One of them is the blackberry bushes I planted a few years back.

They give me pretty blackberry blossoms this time of year.

Lots of blossoms means a good crop of blackberries will be arriving soon.

I'm looking forward to making delicious jars of jam.

Oh, and I like making and eating homemade ice cream with a blackberry sauce.

My favorite, though, is homemade blackberry cobbler with my homemade ice cream on top.
I always share. Come on over this summer!
We'll sit outside overlooking the lake and garden while enjoying a light breeze, and...
pigging out on homemade blackberry treats. YUM!

Ya gotta love country garden pleasures!

Sounds great!! My blackberries have died out quite a bit..not sure why. I love them tho. Made strawberry freezer jam this week with a friend! Loving Spring in the country :-)

Those are pretty blossoms. I am wondering if some of the blossoms along the roadsides might be wild blackberry bushes. The blooms look like apple blossoms don't they? Blackberries aren't my favourite as they have too many seeds. :)

Love these blossoms-are they sweet? I remember my Mom growing raspberries and oh my we were lucky to get them in the house before they were all gone!
I will be over for cobbler-just let me know what I can bring!! Darling Post!
Happy Hugs-

Give us a call when that cobbler is ready! Blackberries are my favorites! Daddy and I used to fight over Mom's blackberry cobbler. Finally, she wised up and made us each a separate one, all our own. Beautiful shots!

Dru

It sounds heavenly! Our apple trees are getting ready to blossom, so that means a bumper crop of apples this fall. Your blackberry bush is gorgeous!
