My Get Up & Go

Today is July 1.
And it's the first Monday of the month.
This is the day I normally enjoy presenting 'Farm Fresh Feature'.
Today, there is no feature.

Frankly, my get up & go...got up and went.
It went right out the door.
I'd go chase it, but I'm a little tuckered out from the month of June.
I posted about it here.

And since that post, we had an unexpected tornado go through last week.
Fortunately, we only had tree limbs come toppling down.
But this is what it looked like here on the lake.

I feel bad that a nearby diary farm was hit pretty hard.
I tell ya, I'm looking forward to a better July.
How about you?

Wow! I hate it when such beautiful large trees go down in storms...just sad! Praying that your July is better. Stay safe and looks like you will have lots of pick up and cleaning to do. Blessings!

There has been a lot of bad weather all over in the states this Spring and Summer. I'm glad everyone is o.k. at your homestead. Praying comfort for you and everything gets back to normal soon! Blessings~~~Roxie

I'm saying prayers that July is better for you. So sorry that you had trees come down, but I'm so glad that you are okay.
There has been so much bad weather lately. Yesterday, the county my in-laws live in had flooding and their yard flooded, but it didn't go into their home. Storms always make me nervous this time of year.
Sending hugs your way.

Wow! John and I saw a lot of the same thing in Missouri this weekend. Thanks goodness you're ok! This has been the weirdest summers! After record breaking highs last week, it was 59 degrees this morning!
I'm with you--I'm hoping that July will be much better for us all.
Hugs,
Dru

Hi Cindy,
You are in my prayers for a better month ahead. I am so sorry you lost those gorgeous trees around your area, but glad no one was hurt.
Take one day at a time my friend. It will get better.
Hugs, Celestina Marie

We have had the craziest spring/summer weather around here too! I hope the severe storms are a thing of the past. Your lake is so pretty in spite of the damage.

So sad when large trees are lost. We are having record heat and not expected to cool down soon. We need rain!

A few years back a small tornado left that kind of mess on my property, so I feel for anyone struggling to clean up that mess! July will certainly be better.

So glad you and the family are safe. I think everyone was ready for June to be gone. Those were some beautiful trees that Mother Nature took down. Maybe they'll be harvestable for logs or firewood.
Love your blog and looking forward to the next post.
Get your "get up and go" back in order and have a wonderful day!

I am sorry Cindy. This is the way it has been for me ever since my dad died in January. One thing after another. Blogging has been something I have had to put on the back burner. I understand more than I want to.. (That isn't meant to sound mean, but I understand the feelings and understand how troubling it is) You know I am so praying that July will mark some happiness again. The weather can do some really bad things. I bet it just makes you feel so much loss to see all these trees down. Yes, you are thankful for being safe, I am sure. I have been so amazed at how many things in life just take me back to the loss I feel for my dad, and bring forth those feelings of grief. Remember that you are surrounded with your Mom's love and that you are loved by many. This will pass and things will get cleaned up. We have lost so much of our forest near my home due to the worse fires in our states history. It makes me so upset to have to see all the beauty is destroyed. I spent time in these forests every day. Now they are charred :( But with each new day comes the promise of a future. And you will be strong when you are able. Your friends will be here for you when you are ready. Bless you.
Love,
Susie

So sorry to see your trees down and sure hate to hear about the nearby dairy. Mother nature can get in a snit on occasion, and look out when she does.
